Melancholic Greek rebetiko typified by beautifully haunting vocals. A genre which evolved from disparate styles of urban popular music unifying under one umbrella. This music has been around for centuries but was rediscovered to some extent during the rebetika revival in the 1960s. Due to its cultural significance it was added to the UNESCO Intangible Heritage Lists in 2017 - meaning it’s some deep shit! Clean record and labels. Sleeve has light edge and corner wear with two distribution stickers on the front top corners.
